BRL goes International

We are thrilled to announce our exciting venture into international territory with the upcoming BRL International event. Partnering with the prestigious Bridgestone Canadian Superbike Championship, BRL is set to make its Canadian debut at the renowned Canadian Tire Motorsport Park from August 9-11, 2024.
Having successfully captured the enthusiasm of bagger racing fans in the United States since its launch in 2021, BRL has completed three thrilling seasons, including dual three-round campaigns in 2022 and 2023. While BRL has enjoyed immense success across the continental U.S., bagger racing has yet to make its official debut in Canada—until now.
During the fourth round of the 2024 CSBK season, BRL members will journey north to CTMP, located just an hour east of Toronto, to join forces with their Canadian counterparts in this special one-off event.
Founder Rob Buydos expressed the pride of BRL in becoming the first American Bagger series to compete in Canada, marking a significant milestone for the league, which was established just three years ago.
The bagger series, characterized by originally equipped V-Twin engines and based on traditional touring machines, has predominantly attracted competitors from Harley-Davidson and Indian Motorcycle. The rivalry between these iconic brands will continue at the historic “Old Mosport” circuit.
In 2023, Shane Narbonne secured his third consecutive Bagger Racing League championship for Trask Performance Harley-Davidson, clinching four victories in five races, including the season finale at Willow Springs.
Anticipation for the Canadian event includes the possibility of entries from current CSBK star Sam Guerin, who has achieved success in the Pro Stock Bagger class, securing three second-place finishes and a third-place overall finish in the championship this season.
The CTMP circuit, known as “Canada’s Home of Motorsport,” with its 3.957 km Grand Prix layout, ten turns, dramatic elevation changes, and the iconic Mario Andretti Straightaway, will serve as the latest battleground for the BRL riders.
The BRL debut at CTMP is scheduled for August 9-11, coinciding with the launch of the annual “Bike Week” festivities at the circuit. The event will feature seven other national classes, culminating in the penultimate round of the season, including the feature GP Bikes Pro Superbike category.
Stay tuned for more information on this historic BRL debut at CTMP, to be provided at a later date. We can’t wait to bring the excitement of bagger racing to the Canadian audience and make our mark at “Canada’s Home of Motorsport.”
